OK, so when you think about online dating, you usually get the image of men and women in their 20s and 30s texting back and forth.

It is very easy for a lot of women over the age of 40, to somewhat become jaded with online dating. Fair enough, I can totally understand.

It is very easy to get burnt with online dating, especially if you don’t really know what you’re doing. There’s a lot more to online dating than just setting up a profile and get chatting. It is certainly very different to real life dating, and different rules apply.

Anyhow, here’s an inspirational story for you.

Back in July, when we first launched our program, High Value Profile & Banter, I asked our members to fill out a little questionnaire so that I could learn more about them.

What really surprised me was that a few of our members were in their 60s and even 70s. (Isn’t that amazing by the way?! It warms my heart to know that women in their 60s and 70s are using online dating!)

Not only do they have to overcome the technological barrier with these dating apps, but they also have to get use to the modern online dating culture.

So I applaud you if you’re over 40 and you’re still doing putting yourself out there. I know so many women who would just hide away and rather not be seen.

Now, one of the ladies who joined the program was a 71 year old. 71 years old! Imagine that! That is inspirational. (For her privacy, let’s call her Jane for now.)

Not only was Jane excited to join the program but she wanted some extra help because she had felt somewhat heartbroken, confused and disappointed with her previous experiences.

At first I was a little taken back, most of our members are between late 20s to sometimes late 40s. So I was confident in knowing how to help these women because I’ve been doing that for almost a decade.

But a 71 year old. I was a little taken back.

So I got to know her a little more and it turned out she was having exactly the same issues as most women in their 30s and 40s.

Well it turns out, the same masculine-feminine conflicts are kind of universal regardless of how old you are.

So as Jane went through the course, this was a course to help women with online dating by the way, she kept me updated with her progress. She started telling me how she was having the time of her life with banter.

This is because a large portion of the course focused on methods on what I call High Value Banter in order to create emotional attraction in online dating.

And it seemed to have really resonated with Jane.

Keep in mind, she’s 71 years old. Or 71 years young I should say. Because deep down inside she felt young, she felt energetic, especially when she embraced that playful side of her.

And one day, she sent me the longest email I’ve probably ever received in my life. It was well over 1500 words, I mean in this day and age, I don’t usually spend the time to write 100 words in my emails, let alone 1500 words.

And these are her own words…

“I cannot thank you enough! I have had so much success just in the past few days, less than a week on our time! I have two dates this weekend and and three more from different men in the next two weeks. The ones who really catch the banter had gone crazy like tennis matches. I have never laughed so hard in my life. I can’t believe this!”

“…But I wound up having the time of my life and one really Alpha man kissed me hard on the cheek as I was leaving and there were three standing around talking with me at the same time. For a bit I felt like Scarlet O’Hara in Gone With the Wind. They seemed starved for this masculine/feminine energy exchange of years gone by where men could be men.”

“…I can’t thank you enough for all of your programs and your affirmation that what I am doing is on point. It has surely proven itself so.”

“…What has truly amazed me is that I was looking at the notes I took initially to answer some of their banter. i was mechanical, but then they started giving me food for fodder and my imagination went wild and so did theirs. “

“… I am having the time of my life! And thanks to you, I now know the difference between intimacy and sexy! It is unbelievable how young you and Renee are to have garnered such wisdom.
Well thank you, We’re not as young as perhaps we look. Plus we stay well hydrated. Thanks to you I can apply my new freedom and zest for life to communicating authentically with men and understanding them.”

“It is so comical to discover the zone where connection is effortless. I have never been there in my life and I thank you all so much. Making the investment in all your programs has helped me discover, step into my feminine energy, and find my comfort zone in it. I was just bantering to fulfill one of your lesson homework assignments and boy did I hit a gold mine! Now that is not bad for this 70 year old chick!

I am more alive than I was in the years of my youth and look forward to that intimate connection I know men yearn for as well, even with their “big bad wolf” selves LOL!

Thanks! I’m having the time of my life! And you all have added the missing ingredient to achieve the radiance that just walking into a room attracts men even at my age! So amazing!”

“…Thanks and God bless you! You’ve made my heart sing! and if anyone can get out of themselves, they can do what I’ve done as well!”

As you can imagine when I first read her email, I was in tears. It tugged at all of my heart strings. Seriously, how incredibly inspirational is this!

Thank you, Jane for not just sharing your story but being courageous enough to keep learning and keep stepping outside your comfort zone, even in your 70s.

If you’re reading this, know that if a 71 year old can have so much fun and succeed with online dating, you can as well.

I’m not suggesting that you reinstall Tinder again, if you’ve sworn off dating apps, but I am saying it’s possible for online dating to work for you.

It comes down to knowing a few important things.

For example, the most important skill I believe you need in online dating is the skill of High Value Banter.

Because this is literally the only way, the only method of establishing emotional attraction through online dating as well as helping you weed out the wrong types of men.

…And yes there are many wrong types of men you need to watch out for.

If you want to take this opportunity to learn more about High Value Banter, then you’re in luck because I have put together a free class on the 3 most important aspects of High Value Banter.

As a woman who was divorced at age 51 and started online dating again after 13 years of marriage, I find this article so disheartening. Not because of Jane’s experience, which I believe to be absolutely universal but never talked about, but because of the glaring ignorance and arrogance of younger people regarding what aging is really like or what it means. Women over 50 are still sexual, vital beings; in fact, as we age we become more sexual. But we are never really seen for that reality by society at large.
